alas the renault 8 is not to be. we got it up on the hoist and started to poke around and it turns out it has terminal cancer in some very structual places. the weird thing is that all the transverse members on the chassis are sound,it is the longitudinal members that are suffering rot. from the sills up the car is quite sound-pity.

no one more than me wanted to get this car back on the road and it would be possible if i had the facilities to cut the floor out of the thing and tube frame the entire car but alas i do not so there will be no r8 terrorizing the streets of edmonton with me cackling gleefully from behind the wheel,such a loss,i shed a tear for it.
