Ponder this

We are all a product of the the reproduction of organisms, a chain approximately 3.8 billion years long that leads too you.

Since the first stirrings of life on this planet from the first simple one celled organisms to your parents, it has been unbroken dividing and then pairing of separate entities that has eventually become you.

In my case since I highly doubt I will have children, that chain will be broken.
